Modern School Portraits are a unique approach to school photos.  No more cheesy smiles with strange backgrounds.  The background will be black, and the photos will be simple and classic, showcasing each child's individuality.  Instead of forcing a fake grin, the children will be encouraged to be themselves and will never be forced to smile.  We only use natural light, no scary flashes.

It's best to avoid logos, thin stripes and really bright colors.  Neon tones and bright red/orange are especially problematic.  Solid colors, earth tones and layers work well, and images are mainly shot from the chest/waist up.  Keep in mind that solid black shirts will blend in with the backdrop, so you should AVOID all-black clothing. That said, let the kids wear whatever they are happy and most comfortable in!  If it's a Halloween costume, so be it.  That's really what is most important. Glasses should be clean with an anti-glare coating, NO transitions lense or blue-light coating, please.

Siblings who attend the school will have the opportunity to be photographed together, so make sure outfits don't clash.

Within approximately 4-6 weeks of your child's photo session, you will be emailed a link to the school proofing gallery.  There will be 5-10 images of each child.  Images will be in both color and black & white.  We do not choose which photos to print, you do.  You will be able to order print packages, digital files and other items directly from the viewing gallery.  The ordering process is simple and secure.  The gallery will be live for 8-12 days only.  ALL GROUP PRINT ORDERS MUST BE PLACED IN THAT 8-12 DAY PERIOD.

Once the group ordering period has expired, all orders will be placed together and hand delivered to your school within 2-3 weeks.

Prices are competitive with big box school photo companies.  Packages start at $39 and a la carte prints start at $15.
