You guys, it's been crazy lately!

Ok, the world has been a hot mess. In the midst of all that’s been going on, I’m really excited to be able to offer something important and special for you and your kiddos. For many families, school photos are the only professional portraits they have of their kids each year. Whether it's due to time constraints, resources or simply lack of any good alternatives. It really struck me that the magic of our kiddos wasn't being captured artistically, and in a blink - they're older and off to college, leaving behind a trail of hasty cell phone captures, and no artful portraiture.

That's not ok.

I really wanted to figure something out that would work for as many families as possible. I created The Kids Portrait Pop Up to take the artistic vision of a luxury private portrait session and bring it to an accessible pop up setting. By encouraging each child to simply be themselves, I'm able to create captivating, magical portraits that families will want to hang on their walls, not assembly line photos they feel obligated to buy. My goal is to provide a safe, fun and personal experience that adds some sense of normalcy when everything else seems completely upside down. I never force a smile, so you can expect photos that capture the true essence of your child's personality. Their silly, goofy kid-ness in all its glory.

what is a pop up kids portrait?

I don’t know about you, but I was never a fan of the stiffly posed and forced smile images my daughter brought home from school picture day. Weird backdrops and random props felt cheesy and never represented my kid. This is a new kind of portrait. By encouraging each child to simply be themselves, I'm able to create captivating portraits that families will want to hang on their walls, not assembly line photos they feel obligated to buy. I never force a smile and simply aim to capture the magical essence of the children I photograph. There are no awkward poses or props and I usually use natural lighting. The results are genuine, timeless portraits that are far from the traditional cheesy photos to which we've become accustomed, but more affordable than a private portrait session.

*Note: this session is best for kids ages 14 months and up.

when and where will these be held?

Most pop ups take place in Northeast LA, think Eagle Rock, Highland Park, Glendale...etc, but other locations may be offered as well.

what is the cost and what does it include?

Your Exclusive Pop-Up Digital Collection Includes:

-Full gallery of professionally edited, high-resolution digital images delivered electronically(15+), in both color AND black and white.

-A complimentary portrait session (no separate session fee).

-Access to my curated online store to purchase prints and other items if desired.

-Prices are variable, but usually start at $365+

do you photograph siblings?

Yes! If you have more than one child, please book one time slot for each child. There is usually time to do sibling-together portraits depending on the kiddos. The digital sibling portraits are my gift to you in your final gallery!

how do I sign up?

Once dates are released, simply click any of the booking links on this page or in the email you received. You’ll be prompted to pay for your digital image collection in order to reserve your time slot. The portrait session is complimentary with your digital package.

Prints are not included, but you’ll have the option to purchase separately after your session.
